3D reconstruction of the archaeometallurgical excavation of Agia Varvara-Almyras in Cyprus from 1988 – 1999 on the basis of various plans (2013 – 2016)

The aim of the project was to spatially reconstruct the findings of an archaeometallurgical excavation from the years 1988 – 1999 in Agia Varvara-Almyras, Cyprus.
For the first time, the 3D model allowed a coherent view of the technical sequence of copper smelting and its spatial organization to be developed.
The model is based on the drawing documentation of the excavation, which was done analogously. A model based on the effective measurement data was developed, which is therefore also true to scale.
