3D-Reconstruction of Legion camp Vindonissa (2016)
for the Cantonal Archaeology of Aargau and the Pro Vindonissa Society

The 3D reconstructions highlight the embedding of the Roman legionary camp Vindonissa in the topography of today’s Brugg / Windisch. These are published for the first time in the Annual Report 2015 of the Society Pro Vindonissa. In addition to the illustration in the booklet, the views are enclosed as posters.

The structure in 3D is flexible. The visualizations can thus be adapted quickly and easily to the latest findings. New views, animations up to the preparation for the 3D-print or for virtual reality are further options of the 3D-model.

For the legionnaire’s path Vindonissa a northern view of the legionary camp was created.
In the article ‘Reconstructing Vindonissa as a Living Document’ Jonas describes the reconstruction of the legion camp Vindonissa.
